About Captain Sam Newman

Captain Samuel Newman began fishing when he was only 3 years old, has been working on boats since he was 10, and became a deckhand at the age of 15. He moved down to Tampa from eastern Connecticut, got his captain’s license in 2017, and has been running charters since 2018. He specializes in catching Bull Redfish and other big trophy species, such as Goliath Grouper, Snook, Tarpon, Tripletail and more! He loves his job because “there’s no greater feeling than helping someone catch their first monster fish and just making people happy.” It’s why he does what he does.
